I’m looking forward to anime coming to air in 2023 too, but how about looking back some with me like ‘That anime was such an excellent piece~!’ and ‘What good memories~!?’

I remember the works that aired around October 2022, but what sort of anime aired for the fall and spring...... I kind of remember, but I’m honestly not all that confident. And so!! Before it turns to 2023, let’s review what anime aired in 2022 by selecting few that especially left impressions!

What~!!! Was ‘My Dress-Up Darling (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru)’ an anime that aired from January......? Was my thought when I was looking at the 2022 winter anime line-ups.

Now that I think about it, I remember that quite a lot of the winter anime that aired from January 2022 were love comedy, and I remember chilling and watching during the busy end of the year season! Although big titles like ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer)’ aired too, there was quite a few new anime series.

It was a season where works that I hadn’t read in manga got animated, so I was checking pretty carefully every week~! My personal favorite, ‘My Dress-Up Darling (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru)’ has announced a production of 2nd season, so I’m looking forward to that too!

Full of major works and awaited-sequels! Experienced the joy of a familiar work getting animated in 2022’s April to end-of-June season! 2022 spring anime!

The 2022 spring anime which aired from April included a lot of works that I’ve read in manga already, so I feel like there wasn’t as much excitement or surprise compared to winter......!

But getting animated means that characters would get voices, as well as opening themes and ending themes get composed! I liked a lot of the songs from ‘Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club,’ and there are several that I still listen to! (Promotional videos (PV) with images are good too~!)

Comiket100 happened and was so busy~!!

One that personally left an impression on me was ‘Love Live! Super Star!! Season 2’~! It had different member-makeup and storyline compared to the previous Love Live! series, so I kept wondering what kind of ending it would have......

I checked it out each week feeling surprised and moved by the story development...... In the final episode, they announced Love Live! serie’s anime 3rd Season for the first time, so I was really surprised!! When is it airing? I’m super excited~!

By the way, 2022 summer was the first year in a while where the Doujinshi festival, Comiket100, happened, and so it was a very memorable season! I was moved to see Comiket catalog for the first time in a while, I bought my favorite illustrator’s Doujinshi as well, and I felt really nostalgic...... Well now~...... I’m currently watching the winter anime, but my especially favorite is ‘Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury’!

‘Chainsaw Man’ and ‘BOCCHI THE ROCK!’ are also interesting, but ‘Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury’ is an original anime, so I exchange reactions with my anime-fan friends like ‘this week’s episode was amazing!’ or like ‘the ending is way too unsettling......,’ so it’s my favorite! Gundam Series has a long history, so some people might think it’s intimidating to start watching now...... But, please don’t worry, it’s totally enjoyable even without prior knowledge, so definitely check it out!

......Now, actually there is one more work, that I haven’t mentioned so far on purpose. For me, that anime is my best one of year 2022! This is the one anime that I want to recommend for those of you who haven’t seen it yet!!

Drumroll please! The anime that I thought was the most interesting among all anime aired in 2022 is...... this work!!

Aired in Summer of 2022! An original anime that gave pure excitement each week with its story’s development! Lycoris Recoil!!

There we have it, my most favorite work of 2022 is Lycoris Recoil!! Did you all guess it correctly!?

There are several reasons why Lycoris Recoil is really good,

• is an original anime, so couldn’t preview with manga, so I looked forward to checking each week!
• It’s about 2 girls’ buddy action! I liked seeing the two with opposite personalities gradually build a connection......!
• The action scenes were pretty legit, and made it fun to watch! It was an anime that made me want to look forward to the sequel, and I recommend it to the people who haven’t seen it yet!”

In summary, it was just ‘an anime that I can enjoy every week even if I don’t know anything’! Double-thumbs-up that it concludes in 1 cour so that it’s easy to watch too! If someone asks me ‘which anime do you recommend for 2022?’ I would recommend this Lycoris Recoil!
