Today’s featured anime is one where its introduction is totally belated! Because it was a huge hit in 2022 and became a serious trend! But we realized that we hadn’t featured it in an article yet, so we are doing so immediately!

If we were to ask people to pick 3 best anime from the year 2022, I’m sure there would be many who name this anime! Easy to watch!Funny!And satisfying!That anime is......this one!

And so today, we would like to look back and review what kind of anime Bocchi the Rock was! Its anime was aired at the end of 2022, and it was a huge hit! If you haven’t seen it yet, please do! The storyline is very simple, but that’s why it’s so enjoyable!

Bocchi the Rock! Is a story about a highschooler with zero friends, Hitori-Chan! Hitori-Chan hears a famous star saying that ‘they had a dark personality but got friends once starting guitar and became more social,’ and started to practice guitar for 6 hours every day! But she still had trouble making friends in middle school...... and spent it practicing it in the closet or sharing her compositions on the internet.

She still wants friends...... Hitori-Chan can’t give up, so she goes to school dressed in a way that screams ‘I’m interested in a band!’ and waits for an opportunity to talk to someone! Then, someone comes to talk to Hitori-Chan......!

Her name is Nijika-Chan! Nijika-Chan is also in a band, but the guitar member had suddenly quit before a live performance and needs a last-minute sub!

Like that, Hitori-Chan ends up being selected as a band member!This is what she wanted, but she didn’t think it would really happen......!!What will happen to Hitori-Chan!!

And that’s what the story is basically about! It’s mostly comedy, but when the band has a performance, they put on a wonderful live show! There are no overly serious scenes, it’s a light-hearted and fun-to-watch young girls’ band anime!

I think there are many reasons why Bocchi the Rock! was so successful. For example, the music was good, the characters are unique, I can think of many reasons.

At first, Hitori-Chan had passion for music, but she couldn’t chat easily with someone or perform together. But through music, she slowly made friends, formed a band, and ends up performing in front of a huge crowd. This anime carefully follows her growth!

I also think that the main character, Hitori-Chan, has a ‘good’ personality! Hitori-Chan has a gloomy personality but not too much to point of annoying. She holds back a lot, but she wants friends......! So, the viewers are happy when her wishes or goals come true! Hitori-Chan slowly makes friends, be influenced and changes...... She really grows little by little, so it makes me want to watch over her.

For example, there are no major events like saving the world or defeating the evil, but there is always a ‘clear difference’ between the beginning and the end of the episode...... to Hitori-Chan’s growth. The growth is so gradual, so I think everyone would sympathize! Because of that, the satisfaction level after watching is very high!

The music is good, characters are good, and the story is good! So, I think people who watched it would want to tell someone ‘Bocchi the Rock! was good!’!

And so I had a lot to say, but to summarize, ‘Bocchi the Rock! is a girls band work that makes you experience the youth life so much to want to recommend it to others!’ I want to watch anime’s 2nd season too...... but I also really like the first season’s final scene too.
