It’s an anime that’s expected to air starting April 2023, and we don’t want you to think ‘Well, I don’t know the THE IDOLM@STER series’......!It’s okay if you’re not familiar with THE IDOLM@STER, it’s an idol work that I love, so I hope I can share its charm with you today~!

What’s the ‘U-149’ in THE IDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls U-149?

The U-149 in the title means, Under 149cm...... it’s referring to the petite sized, small idols!

U-149 idol’s charms?Difference between Cinderella Girls?

So who are these idols categorized into this U-149 group...... they are girls who were scouted as future idols with potential, but have not find any producer for some time...... Such young idols.

They look up to the succeeding idols that found success, while self-practicing waiting for producers at practically storage-like office...... That’s how U-149 idols were spending their days until a producer finally came one day!

But it turns out their long-awaited producer is a novice producer, not much different in height either! Will the U-149 idols be able to grow into legit idols!?

The points that I thought was interesting reading the manga are that despite their young age, their troubles and struggles are of ‘real idols’! Really! Because they are young, they run into a lot of problems and dilemmas, but the way they try to resolve things seriously is not a kid nor an adult, but as ‘one idol’! Today, often children are more responsible than adults, and this manga’s idols who strive to shine are so strong-minded and pure! And because of that, it makes you want to cheer them on! This idol work is amazing like that!

There are more than 10 members in U-149, and my special favorite characters are these girls! (Of course other members are full of cuteness and charm too!) At times, they are wiser and more worrisome than adults. At other times, they are more energetic than the sun, bright girls!
