What Is Higurashi no naku koro ni (Higurashi When they Cry)?

Find out the truth behind the spree killing case, occurred in the country side! A mystery horror novel, which drew attention in 2000s!
Higurashi no naku koro ni (Higurashi When they Cry) was originally one of the Doujin Novel Games, which a Doujin Cirgle ‘07th Expansion’ released in 2002’s Comiket! The game neither contained any special techniques nor illustrations but it was a mystery novel with a slogan ‘Accuracy rate 1%,’ where many people tried to solve the truth of the mystery!
The story was released, separated into two Arcs, four ‘Question Arcs,’ where tragedy occurs and four ‘Answer Arcs,’ where it reveals what happens behind the tragedy. Once you finish reading all of the eight stories, you will be able to find out the truth behind the spree killing case, which has occurred in this small town of the country side……!

The one currently on air is “completely a new series” based on the original! I recommend that you should review the original either through anime or comics!

Maebara Keiichi

He moves to a country side town, Hinamizawa, from Tokyo.
At first, he is not familiar with any traditions of the town, which enables him to take actions without caring too much about the village’s tradition. He is so smart and persuasive that he can easily make new friends. However, he doesn’t notice many things…… even when someone has a crush on him.

She is innocent and adorable, just looking her age, but she has a strange habit, where she likes to comfort someone who fails on something by patting them on their head. However, she is loved by everyone because she’s not a bad girl.
The Higurashi, which started to air in 2020, will soon reach its climax……! Can’t take our eye off from it every week! We’ll soon be able to see behind the scene of the case!
