More and more summer anime series have newly started to air but...... as for the anime movies, new series are coming out in August too!

Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya is Fate/stay night’s spin-off series! With a girl, Illyasviel von Einzbern, as the main protagonist, it’s a magical shojo series!

Fate/stay night is a battle royale of seven Servants and the mages over a ‘Holy Grail’ which can make any wishes come true. However, in its spin-off manga series, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, the characters, who appear in Fate/staynight, appear but a totally different storyline is depicted!

In short, it’s different from Fate/stay night, in that Illya lives in a peaceful world, where she is forced to become a magical girl after the contract that is forced to be made by a magical girl stick, named Magical Ruby, who suddenly shows up! Illya, who becomes a magical girl, is now going to collect the ‘Class Cards’ sealed with the Servants’ power, but......!?

It really differs from the original Fate/stay night, which makes it even more fun! I would recommend that you should watch Fate/stay night first since Fate Series can be a little difficult to catch up especially for the beginners!

The movie, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya: Licht - The Nameless Girl, which is scheduled to release on Aug 27th, seems to be a story, depicting Miyu Edelfelt’s past, whom Illya fights with!!

Actually, as for Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, it’s a sequel of Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya: Vow in the Snow, which released in 2017! Both focus on Miyu Edelfelt’s past, and if you are planning to watch The Nameless Girls, be sure to watch Vow in the Snow beforehand!!

By the way, Neither the previous movie, Vow in the Snow, nor The Nameless Girl, are the original story, but they were made into movies from their manga’s episodes! Meaning, you can learn more through manga too, so check them out if you’re curious!!
