How Does It Related to the Previous Season? Let’s Review It!

YEP! I’ll be featuring a now-HOT anime series, Black ★★ Rock Shooter DAWN FALL!!, now on air!! I watched Episode 1 and thought that we need to review the previous season and the setting! What is ‘Black ★★ Rock Shooter’ in the first place? Let’s take a look!

What Is “Black ★ Rock Shooter” in the first place?

What kind of character is Black ★ Rock Shooter in the first place? Actually, Black ★ Rock Shooter is a Japanese media franchise based on characters created and posted by illustrator huke-Sensei, who also was in charge of the character designs of STEINS;GATE or Metal Gear Solid on Dec 26th 2007!

When it was posted, along with her illustration, there was also a message saying ‘★Rock Cannon, which can fire 20 shots a second, is equipped on her arm.’ The name, Black ★ Rock Shooter, originates from this, I guess!

The origin of this character, Black ★ Rock Shooter, has nothing to do with Hatsune Miku! But! ryo-San, a member of the music group called supercell, composed music after looking at the illustration of Black ★ Rock Shooter, which was posted on social media! That’s the ‘Black ★ Rock Shooter’ sung by Hatsune Miku!

The music animation of ‘Black ★ Rock Shooter’ is illustrated by huke-Sensei, which has made us relate ‘Black ★ Rock Shooter’ with Hatsune Miku! From this release, it went viral, ending up being made into figures and anime!

I actually misunderstood but strictly saying, ‘Black ★ Rock Shooter’ is not originally related to Hatsune Miku, huh......?

What kind of story was the 1st Season, aired in 2012?
How does it relate to the 2022 version?

And, guess what? ‘Black ★ Rock Shooter’ was made into anime 10 years ago!

The first one focused on the two worlds; a real life and ‘another world’! Everyday life of Kuroi Mato and Takanashi Yomi, living in the real-life influences Black ★ Rock Shooter and Dead Master, living in ‘another world’......!

Then...... how does it (anime aired in 2012) relate to Black ★★ Rock Shooter DAWN FALL, now on air?

So far, we know that they don’t relate to each other...... But! It might not be true!

First of all, they both are based on ‘Black ★ Rock Shooter’ but their worldviews are totally different!

Actually, this girl, Empress, looks very much alike with ‘Black ★ Rock Shooter,’ which we are so familiar with!

You might be thinking that these two series are completely different ones because of these contrary worldviews...... but actually, this character called Dead Master, who has appeared in 2021, is appearing in 2022 too!

So, maybe these two series might relate to each other somewhere......? For those who have been watching Black ★★ Rock Shooter DAWN FALL now, you might want to check out the one aired in 2012 too......!

Another NEW game project is coming up in Fall 2022 too!

Black ★ Rock Shooter is now celebrating 15th Anniversary in 2022! To commemorate it, another new game of Black ★ Rock Shooter is now scheduled to release in fall 2022!

It’s scheduled to release as a mobile (smartphone) game! They also announced that ‘the story in the game will be the original, set in ‘another world’ which is different from the world in anime’! We haven’t had enough info yet but let’s check this one out too!

Black Rock Shooter has full of mysteries! This year, this series might make a big move such as broadcasting on TV or being made into a game! So! Why don’t you check them out too?
