Hot weather August with Comiket has passed, and here we are in September! I typically spend my September...... or rather, the month before a new anime season, looking over upcoming anime works!
And so today, I’d like to review a legendary anime, scheduled to air starting October 2022! Everyone must have seen these cute characters somewhere......! But, are you familiar with what the characters are like, or what the story is like~?

And so today, let’s review DiGiCharat, a legendary character aired in the 1990’s which led to a sensation, since it will be revived as a new anime series in October 2022! DiGiCharat...... I bet you have seen this name and the character image somewhere~?

DiGiCharat is a character from Media Mix Project previously developed by BROCCOLI Co., Ltd.
Nicknamed Dejiko. The Planet DiGiCarat’s Princess who came to the Earth to “become a superstar.” Personality-wise, she is faithful to her selfish desires. She is sneaky and feisty despite her cute looks, yet her carelessness leads to frequent screw-ups. Her special skill is to emit beams from her eyes. Currently, she works as a sales associate at anime/game goods store in Akihabara called Gamers.

In summary, DiGiCharat is a nostalgic work surrounding Dejiko and her friend’s comical lives in Akihabara!
First thing that comes to my mind about DiGiCharat is that it’s the voice actress Miyuki Sawashiro’s debut work~! Sawashiro-San plays the voice of Petit Charat, a little-sister like character, who follows Dejiko from the DiGiCharat.

Sawashiro-San, a middle-schooler at the time, passed the voice-acting audition for Petit Charat, and began her journey as a voice actress! Impressive, right? Today, Sawashiro-San is such a star voice actress, and there is not a single day that we don’t hear her voice in anime and games!
Also, I’m really glad that the people who were voice actors in the 1990’s are re-appointed for this October 2022’s anime version as well! Anime’s content itself, based on promotional media, seems like an easy and light comedy show, so those of you reading this article, please check it out!
