Ghost in the Shell is originally made as manga, and popular enough to be transformed to some kinds of media such as “movie version anime”, “TV anime”, “game”! The guy who dies in an accident was one of the detectives in Special Investigation Task Force for an accident of “The Laughing Man Incident”.
Togusa thinks it strange and starts investigating alone based on the investigation documents of “The Laughing Man Incident” that he left. With his investigation, the Section 9 will go into the darkness of the politics behind this accident…
In the TV anime version, the story goes on with a theme of social problems related to the current society such as drugs, corruption, an aging society with fewer children, internet ethics with a stage of the near future.
“The Laughing Man Incident” that this work takes was actually based on the real accident happened in Japan. It is very interesting because it was drawn very carefully and realistically based on the past accident to get us imagine what will be like if it happens in the future.
This anime is basically a one-off story style, so the whole story seems not related to each episode, but actually a scene is a very important key to the whole story. That’s why you can’t miss even an episode!
