Zero Series (Fatal Frame) is a Japanese style horror video game. In the game, you control the camera at will to fight with the ghosts.
Among the Japanese horror video games, the fighting games against zombies or monsters such as Biohazard (Resident Evil), Silent Hill, and SIREN are very famous.
However, in this game, unlike usual fighting games, the powerless girl explore the ruins filled with ghosts using "the camera that can exorcise ghosts by shooting them".
To say the truth, I am so crazy about these games that I have all of the games of this series!!
In particular, "Fatal Frame II; Crimson Butterfly", it is no exaggeration to say that it is the best work in the horror game.
The twin sisters Mio Amakura and Mayu Amakura lost their way and moved to the village ruined by the past tragedy.
The story, the characters, and the end result, all is beautiful and sad.
There is no exhilaration feeling to beat out the zombies that the video game such as Biohazard arouses.
This game attracts the gamers by its "silent horror" that the one girl try to escape the ruins at midnight while being attacked by ghosts.
In my case, it took three days to clear the Crimson Butterfly, and I could hardly sleep in those three days.
At night, when you lie down on the bed, the room becomes very quiet ...
You doubt that the ghosts might look at you in the dark of a corner of your room.
You close your eyes and doubt that the ghosts might simper at right next to your face in the same way as the game when you open your eyes again.
If you play the game, you will feel that such situation really happen.
Therefore, I don't recommend this game to the person who hates terror. This game is truly truly scary!!!!!!
It is scary but want to play. Want to play but it is scary.
The scariness will captivate you!
Personally, I recommend you to play the games in the following sequence!
Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly (2003)
Fatal Frame (2001)
Fatal Frame III: The Tormented (2005)
Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (2008)
Project Zero 2: Wii Edition (2012)
Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water (2015)
Of course, it is also amazing to play the games in chronological order!
Would this work be cinematized like Biohazard? I am still still waiting!
